Overview
The Bachelor of Science in Psychology strives to provide students with an understanding of the diversity of the discipline through varied coursework representing major theoretical and applied areas within the field. The common theme in all coursework leading to the degree in psychology is a commitment to the scientific method. As a psychology major, you will gain the necessary knowledge and skills to pursue employment in a variety of settings or admission to a graduate program of study.
As defined, psychology is the scientific study of mental processes and behavior. As applied, psychology is a far-reaching discipline which is applicable to virtually all other disciplines that involve a human element. Through coursework, research opportunities, and mentoring, students will acquire the tools necessary to realize a positive impact on their workplace, community and society.
